Sony's "Brightburn" lands on 4K Ultra HD - Aug. 20

HOT 4K NEWS

Producer James Gunn's ("Guardians of the Galaxy") superhero/horror film "Brightburn" is surprisingly getting a 4K Ultra HD release from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. It's worldwide box office only topped $32 million, but scored a solid 67 percent rating with audiences on Rotten Tomatoes.

The premise: What if a child from another world crash-landed on Earth, but instead of becoming a hero to mankind, he proved to be something far more sinister?

The film stars Elizabeth Banks and David Denman as Tori and Kyle Breyer, a childless Kansas farm couple who are joyful when a spaceship carrying an infant crashes in their yard. They adopt the boy, name him Brandon and raise him as their own.

Obviously a new twist with the tale of Clark Kent/Superman.
