Solo: A Star Wars Story – After struggling in U.S. and global theaters, Lucasfilm's and Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment are expecting the Star Wars spin-off to rebound during its upcoming home video release.

Last summer Kathleen Kennedy, president of Lucasfilm's decision to oust co-directors Philip Lord and Christopher Miller ("The Lego Movie") in the middle of filming in England, in what she called, "different creative visions."

Director Ron Howard with a long list of successful films including Oscar winners "A Beautiful Mind" and "Apollo 13" stepped in to direct. Howard on his Twitter account felt many Star Wars fans were protesting the movie because of the final outcome with "The Last Jedi."

The worldwide box office was a disappointing $385 million, compared to $1 billion for "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story." It had received respectable reviews hitting 60 percent with Rotten Tomatoes top critics and 71 percent overall.

The action-packed journey explores Han’s (Alden Ehrenreich) first encounters with future friend and co-pilot Chewbacca (Joonas Suotamo) and notorious gambler Lando Calrissian (Donald Glover), as well as his adventure-filled past alongside fellow street thief Qi’ra (Emilia Clarke) and career criminal Beckett (Woody Harrelson).
