HOT 4K NEWS
SONY PICTURES celebrates the 60th Anniversary of “The Guns of the Navarone” with its 4K Ultra HD release (disc & digital) on October 12.
It’s the explosive commando adventure with Gregory Peck (as world-class mountain climber Capt. Mallory), leading an all-star cast (David Niven, Anthony Quinn) on a suicide mission to destroy two huge Nazi long-range guns overlooking the Aegean Sea. Blacklisted screenwriter Carl Foreman (“High Noon,” “The Bridge on the River Kwai”) adapted Alistair MacLean’s fictitious wartime novel and selected J. Lee Thompson after seeing his sensitive film “Tiger Bay,” starring Hayley Mills and her father, John Mills.
