OFFICIAL: Paramount gives De Palma’s “The Untouchables” 35th Anniversary a 4K unveiling - May 31

AFTER an early unveiling on digital platforms, Paramount Home Entertainment will release the 35th Anniversary Edition of “The Untouchables” on 4K disc on May 31.


The Brian De Palma film was released in theaters on June 3, 1987 and received four Academy Awards with Sean Connery winning his only Oscar as veteran officer Jimmy Malone. It also receives nods for Best Art Direction, Costume Design and the score from Italian composer Ennio Morricone.



The adapted screenplay by David Mamet, “The Untouchables” is a must-see masterpiece. A glorious, fierce, larger-than-life depiction of good versus evil on the streets of Prohibition-era Chicago, Robert De Niro is unforgettable as mob warlord Al Capone and Kevin Costner as law enforcer Eliot Ness. Additional cast includes Patricia Clarkson, Andy Garcia and Charles Martin Smith.
