PARAMOUNT PICTURES Home Entertainment made it official today after rumors started to pop up over the weekend that the 40th Anniversary of Indiana Jones 4-Movie Collection (“Raiders of the Lost Ark” (1981), “Indiana Jones: The Temple of Doom” (1984), “Indiana Jones: The Last Crusade” (1989) and “Indiana Jones: The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” (2008) was coming out this summer on June 8.
I personally saw Steven Spielberg’s “Raiders of the Lost Ark” at a preview screening in May of 1981, and instantly I considered it a classic. The American Film Institute selected it No. 66 its 100 Years…100 Movies – 10th Anniversary Edition of the greatest American films of all-time.
Now, for the first time ever, all four films (are available together in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Vision and HDR-10 for ultra-vivid picture quality and state-of-the-art Dolby Atmos audio. All films have been meticulously remastered from 4K scans of the original negatives with extensive visual effects work done to ensure the most pristine and highest quality image. All picture work was approved by Spielberg.
