Emmerich’s World War II drama “Midway” lands on 4K (digital) Feb. 4 and 4K (disc) Feb. 18

BLOCKBUSTER filmmaker Roland Emmerich ("Independence Day," "The Patriot," and "The Day After Tomorrow") directed an all-star ensemble cast for the World War II drama "Midway," which Lionsgate Home Entertainment will release on 4K Ultra HD (Digital) February 4 and on 4K (disc) on February 18.

"Midway" centers on the Battle of Midway, a clash between the American fleet and the Imperial Japanese Navy (June 3-6, 1942), which marked a pivotal turning point in the Pacific Theater during WWII. The film, based on the real-life events of this heroic feat, tells the story of the leaders and soldiers who used their instincts, fortitude, and bravery to overcome the odds.

Patrick Wilson stars as Naval intelligence officer Edwin Layton, Aaron Eckhart as Lt. Col. Jimmy Doolittle, Woody Harrelson wearing a white wig as Admiral Chester Nimitz, Ed Skrein as hotshot pilot Dick Best and Nick Jonas as a heroic sailor.
