TWO OF Eddie Murphy’s most hilarious 1980s films are coming to 4K Ultra HD, as a salute to his latest film “Coming 2 America,” which hits theaters December 18.

Paramount Studios remastered both films “Beverly Hills Cop” (1984) and “Coming to America” (1988), scanning the original 35mm camera negatives in 4K and then applying HDR toning.

Murphy stars as the one-and-only Axel Foley, a street-smart cop from Detroit, who tracks down his best friend's killer in Beverly Hills. Axel smashes through the local barriers in a hilarious, high-speed pursuit of justice.

And, three years later Murphy plays African Prince Akeem, and it’s time for him to find a princess. His mission leads him and his loyal friend Semmi to Queens, New York. In disguise as an impoverished immigrant, the pampered prince quickly finds himself a new job, new friends, new digs, new enemies and lots of trouble. Keep an eye out for both Murphy and Hall in some unforgettable cameo roles!
